Dorm Room Bedding

When you first start college you have a lot of things to think about. If you are moving into a dorm or college sponsored apartment building, you may not have to bring much in the way of furniture. You may have a desk and a bed already supplied for you, but you will have to get things like lamps, electronics, and dorm room bedding. These things don’t have to cost a lot of money, but make sure you put some thought into them before you buy.

When I bought dorm room bedding for college, I didn’t think about what I was buying. In the end, I wish I had picked something different. The problem was not that it wasn’t warm, because it was, and it wasn’t that it didn’t fit my bed. The problem was the color. If you think that you aren’t going to have accidents, you should think again. Most of these accidents will be things that others do, and you may end up with a stained comforter that makes you feel uncomfortable every night when you lay down to go to sleep. When you buy dorm room bedding, make sure you get a dark color.

Also remember to get dorm room bedding that is easy to clean. You don’t want something that has to be dry-cleaned or you are going to find yourself spending a lot of money on cleaning, and you may have a hard time finding someone close buy who can do it for you. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get good dorm room bedding, and you certainly can be good to go with something that goes in the washing machine. Also remember that although you may want something that is very bulky, it may not fit in your dorms washing machines. You don’t want something you have to haul across town to get washed.

One last thing to remember when buying dorm room bedding is that you should know what you are getting before you go. If your college doesn’t let you know what size your bed will be, make sure you ask. Don’t assume you know what size bed you are getting, or you may end up with a lot of dorm room bedding that simply doesn’t fit your bed. This will be a huge hassle and a huge waste of money on your part when money is something you really have to be worried about.
