Dry Erase Board

I love the dry erase board that hangs in my kitchen, and I don’t know what I would do without it. There are a lot of important dates we have to keep track of around here, and it isn’t always easy to do. There are always conflicts, but we have a better chance of resolving the issues if we know about them sooner. My husband is in a band and he has a lot of shows each month, and I have important deadlines I must keep track of at all times. On top of that, there are all the personal events that everyone has to deal with on a weekly or monthly basis.

We also have a young daughter, and though she isn’t in school yet, she soon will be. This means there will be even more confusion with our schedules. This is why I love our dry erase board and why I am considering getting a bigger one. My husband and I can put all of our important dates and reminders on the dry erase board so that we know when we have a conflict. It is easy to move from month to month because we can just erase the marker and move on.

You can get a dry erase board in almost any size, and you can get some with a preprinted calendar on them like we have. This is great, and makes having a large desk calendar unnecessary, though having both might be a good idea. You can hang your dry erase board anywhere you want, but you do want to hang it somewhere where everyone can see it, and where you are sure to know what is going on if you are as forgetful as I am. This also eliminates an argument we used to have all the time. When conflicts arise, neither could remember if someone forgot to tell the other what was going on. Now, we know.

A dry erase board can also be great if you have children who love to draw. They can draw and erase over and over again, and they may never get bored with it. These are also wonderful for parents who home school their children. These are usually cheaper than a blackboard, and are easier to clean. They also eliminate the dust and dirty hands you get when you use chalk. Some schools have even eliminated the blackboard and now use the dry erase board for their classrooms for the very same reasons.
